I’m Timea Paál (b. 1983), also known as The Artifictional, a Hungarian multidisciplinary artist based in Romania. I specialize in generative AI and promptography, exploring how perception misfires and memory persists in visual form.

My practice investigates the tension between clarity and distortion, control and collapse, the literal and the absurd. I use AI not to imagine what isn’t there, but to reveal what already exists in perception — intrusions, misreadings, and recurring mental fragments that haunt thought. Language, color, and minimalism are central tools: each choice of form, texture, and palette is deliberate, shaping compositions that are precise, strange, and quietly uncanny.

I am drawn to paradoxes — the coexistence of clarity and distortion, the literal and the absurd, and the fragile interplay between memory and perception. They’re not fantasies or fictions — they’re symptoms, shadows, selves. This isn’t a search for truth. It’s an invitation to wander the inner architecture of thought and emotion using a tool that is both alien and strangely human.
